01About these terms
iubesports.com is run by the IUB Esports Club, a student club under the Department of Computer Science & Engineering, Independent University, Bangladesh (IUB). By using the site or registering for an event, you agree to these terms and to our Privacy Policy. They are the club's own terms, not an official IUB policy, and IUB's own rules for students still apply.
02Your account
- Sign in only with your own @iub.edu.bd Google account. Don't register using someone else's account.
- You're responsible for what is submitted from your account.
- Sign out when you use a shared or public computer.
03Registering for events
- Give accurate details. For events marked IUB-only, every player, including substitutes, must be a current IUB student.
- Team captains register the whole team and are responsible for their roster. Only add teammates who have agreed to play and to share their details with the organisers.
- Submitting a form doesn't guarantee a place. Organisers check every entry and may approve, waitlist or reject it, for example if details or ID cards don't match.
- You can edit your entry until registration closes. Editing sends it back for review.
- Fees, if an event has any, and how to pay them are stated on the event page.
04Tournament rules and fair play
Each tournament has its own rulebook and format, published on its event page. By registering, you agree to follow them. In particular:
- No cheating, hacks, unauthorised third-party tools, account sharing, or “ringers” (players who aren't eligible).
- No harassment, hate speech or toxic behaviour, online or at the venue.
- Follow organisers' instructions, match times and venue rules.
Breaking the rules can lead to disqualification, loss of prizes and being barred from future club events. Organisers make the final call on eligibility, disputes and penalties.
05Changes to events
The club may change schedules, formats, venues or prizes, or cancel an event, when needed. We'll announce changes on the event page or the club's social media as early as we can.
06Photos and videos
Club events are often photographed and filmed, and these may appear on this website and the club's social media. If you'd rather not appear, tell an organiser at the event or email esports.club@iub.edu.bd.
07Website content
The club's name, logos, photos and text on this site belong to the IUB Esports Club or their owners. Partner and sponsor logos belong to those organisations, and game names belong to their publishers. Please ask before reusing them.
08Availability and responsibility
We work to keep the site and registrations running, but the site is provided as is and may sometimes be unavailable. The club isn't responsible for problems outside its control, such as game server outages, internet or power cuts, or issues with players' own devices and accounts.
09Changes and contact
We may update these terms; the date at the top shows the latest version. Questions: esports.club@iub.edu.bd.
